About C3 Gospel Group
C3 Gospel Group actually started from just a couple of friends Ray and Kim getting together and playing and singing gospel music. Randy got involved on a youth mission trip to Vermont with about 22 people from Kennebec Baptist Church in August 2005. Ray, his wife Betty, Randy and his wife Tamsen and 2 daughter Haylee and Heather stayed together in the same place on the mission trip. Kim was also on the trip and helped Betty and Randy with providing meals for the group. We would sing in the car because 18 hours in a Expedition and Church Bus is a long time.
We started practicing in September 2005 and gave our first church concert in October 2005. Ray had a cousin that played the guitar and banjo, and he knew one person that played the bass and another guy that played the lead guitar. They played with us for that concert and they all had other obligations, so we prayed for the Lord to provide us another musician and he blessed us with BJ Clifton, our lead guitar player. The ironic thing is that BJ was playing with a group that the members had retired from playing and he was praying for another group to play and sing with. So, the Lord answered two prayers at once.
We as a group really enjoy playing and singing the Lord's music and the fellowship with of one another. Most everytime we play we eat together afterwards and even when we practice we will spend hours talking as families.
